A 408ci V8 was installed along with a rebuilt TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with a Positraction differential. An SS-style hood was added and the bumpers were tucked before the car was refinished in dark cherry metallic, and the interior was re-trimmed in black. Additional equipment includes a Holley 750-cfm carburetor, a Howards roller camshaft, 9:1 compression ratio pistons, Brodix aluminum cylinder heads, a Flowmaster dual exhaust system, Ridler 18” wheels, front disc brakes, and a push-button AM/FM radio.
